LENTOLA LOGISTICS – ENABLING OPERATIONS IN COLD WEATHER CONDITIONS

TEN YEARS OF INNOVATION
Lentola began developing and manufacturing drones in 2017. Over the years, we have designed and flight-tested various concepts and gained valuable insights into the performance capabilities of different wing and airframe configurations.

A CONCEPT THAT BEATS ICING CONDITIONS
There are many different aircraft concepts in the world. Each concept is always a compromise, because one concept is never the best of all in the field of flying.
The advantages of Lentola delivery drone include the ability to fly in icing conditions and an ergonomic way to attach the payload to the belly of the aircraft. Hardly any other drone is capable of continuing flight in icing conditions, which means that year-round operation in cold environments is out of the question.

BENEFITS: COST AND TIME SAVINGS
Getting started with delivery drones can feel daunting, and the idea of adopting a new mode of transport might seem like a burdensome task.
However, the benefits certainly justify the effort. For hard-to-reach locations, drone delivery is far superior to other transport methods in terms of both cost and speed. Emissions drop to near zero.

METHOD OF OPERATION: PARACHUTE DROPS
Safety is Lentola’s number one priority in all development and operations. The industry standard for a drone delivery is to hover in place and lower the package to the customer using a winch. However, the risks of hovering a drone increase rapidly as wind strength increases. Given the accidents that have occurred worldwide in such situations, Lentola’s system supports the use of a parachute instead of hovering, which we consider a significantly safer operating method.
