Getting started with delivery drones can feel daunting, and the idea of ​​adopting a new mode of transport might seem like a burdensome task.

CUSTOMERS RECEIVE MAIL AND SMALL PACKAGES QUICKLY AND SAFELY

Experience has shown that a drone delivery system is most effective outside urban areas. Urban logistics are most easily achieved by bicycle. However, as distances increase, the unique strengths of delivery drones become highly apparent. A parachute can be used to drop almost any item of suitable size and weight, even large glass bottles. Newspapers can be dropped at multiple locations during a single flight.

IN OPTIMAL USECASES, OUR DELIVERY SYSTEM OFFERS THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS:

1. Distribution costs are halved. Energy requirements are minimal, and no driver is required for distribution.
2. Emissions from distribution are reduced by 70-90%. The lighter the vehicle, the lower the emissions.
3. Online orders can be delivered within minutes of placing the order. There is no need to combine orders or optimize routes, but the customer’s order can be delivered immediately.

QUICK DELIVERIES FROM ONE POINT TO A CONSIDERABLY LARGE AREA

The operating range depends on many factors, but if it is necessary to be able to fly even in the most difficult weather conditions, with a standard 3 kg cargo it is approx. 15-20 km. The operating range can be almost double with very light cargo (e.g. a camera) and under optimal conditions.
If the nature of the operation differs significantly from the usual one, we can customize our aircraft for an additional fee, e.g. with different wing profiles and powertrain solutions.

TESTED IN THE LABORATORY AND IN THE FIELD

The biggest challenges in flying arise in winter: strong winds, heavy rain, and icing conditions. While the effects of weather conditions on an aircraft can be tested outdoors, reliable results cannot be obtained solely through open-air testing, as conditions are constantly changing. For this reason, Lentola’s system has also been tested under the most extreme conditions in the laboratory – virtually uniquely worldwide.

THE BENEFITS OF DRONE DELIVERIES ARE REALIZED MOST EFFECTIVELY IN SPARSELY POPULATED AREAS

Studies* show that the greatest benefits of using delivery drones are achieved over the long distances typical of sparsely populated areas.

There are also significant differences in risk levels. The more densely populated an area is, the greater the risks. For these reasons, the use of our drone delivery system is limited to sparsely populated areas.

Drone delivery operations require a permit from the national aviation authority. Due to lengthy processing times, obtaining such a permit can take months. Lentola has in-depth knowledge of the application process and supports its clients throughout the application process to make it as quick and straightforward as possible.
